I'm sure you've heard of the Universal Laws of Attraction where the basic principle is that you will attract whatever you choose to give your attention to. The same concept can be applied to the Universal Laws of Attraction Marketing.
You see, we meet new people every day by simply living. We meet people in stores, at soccer practice, at the playground, at school, at work, etc. With today's technology, we are naturally driven to direct people to our social media sites, whether its Facebook, Twitter, and even our blogs. Since we are already doing it, why not use it our advantage to attract our target marget?
Did you ever stop to think that with all this social media, you might be overlooking the fact that you have your target audience right in front of you?! Once you say "Hey add me on ..." you are building an audience that is watching you on a daily basis.
The question is, are you using the universal laws of attraction marketing to draw them to you? To ask you about what you have to offer? To join you?
I'm not salesperson, and I'm sure you're not either. So the first of five universal laws of attraction marketing is extremely important to understand. You're not selling a product, you're selling a way of life. It doesn't matter if your primary company is in fitness and nutrition, survey-taking, essential oils, make-up, or green energy, you are sharing your life so that success is defined by joining your team.
If you think about it, social media sites were not originally meant for advertising. They were meant for being SOCIAL and growing your network of friends, family, and like-minded people. You want to promote the life you are striving to live or living now and build content around that picture you painted for your viewers.
Ultimately, the key component to "selling" is you, your accountability, and leadership - and people will see that. However, you want to provide information that people are asking for, so open your eyes and listen! People don't care what you know until they know that you care, so get them on your radar first and then share your products. If this means attracting people with a hobby that has nothing to do with your business, then do it (more on this below.) This is how you build relationships, and this is how you achieve success in attraction marketing.
"Dont strive to be heard, strive to be missed when you are not." Seth Godin
Do you feel like you're talking to everyone and get no one? There are 3 key desires:
Are you leading with desire or just product names?
Your market may not know exactly the direction to go to get started, but what they DO know is what they want. If you can provide the means to fulfill their desire and create the likability factor online they will want to join you either as a customer or as a team member.
Find the market desire that you connect with the most, tie it to your personal success story, and lead with that. Go back to #1 in the universal laws of attraction marketing and share the lifestyle that will fulfill your market's desires.
This is one thing you will find in almost every business training - finding your niche, your target, your lifers.
What is the area you are most confident in right now? What is your hobby? Do you have or do something you are super passionate about?
Once you figure out what it is, you can lead, inspire, and educate others on it.
It's about finding like minded people who have the same interests and passion, talking to them publicly online, and letting everyone else watch. Like I said in #1 in the universal laws of attraction marketing, this hobby and passion does not have to be in the same category of what your business offers. If your company is in health and fitness but you love and are very knowledgeable on photography, then lead, inspire, and educate on photography. You will soon build relationships and your followers will come to you where you can then share what you offer in your business.
This seems pretty obvious, but sometimes people think that posting and sharing once a day on the same thing is going to attract people. It's not. Think about your current audience, whether it's friends, family members, or random fans. What is great content to THEM? You should be writing FOR them, not necessarily TO them. Remember, people don't care what you know until they know that you care, so get them on your radar first by writing for them.
Because Facebook is one of the most frequently used social media sites for attraction marketing, here are some tips:
Most people don't like to ordered around. Unless they ask for recommendations, don't give it to them. Instead ask, "Have you ever considered ..." or, "Are you open to ..." and then follow up.
Dont assume they want to watch a video. Instead ask what is the best way they want to learn: video, call, email, brochure etc. Not everyone learns the same way. Some are more visual, while others are more auditory. So give them the option of how they would like to learn more about what you have to offer. And remember, follow-ups should be personal first and then business.
The Universal Laws of Attraction Marketing are simple and can be applied to any business.
